Admission Procedure
La Purísima Catholic School, mindful of its mission to be witness to the love of Christ for all, admits students of any race, color, and national origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students in this school.

Students applying for admission may be screened for readiness prior to admission. The results of the screening will aid in determining placement/acceptance.
Any requirements for special needs to assist the students’ learning will be discussed and reviewed to determine whether La Purísima Catholic School has the facilities and expertise to provide the needed special assistance.

Requirements:
Assessment & Interview: All new students, from kindergarten to 7th grade, will be assessed and interviewed before acceptance.

Age Requirements:
- Preschool: Must be 3 years old by September 1st and fully potty trained.
- Transitional Kindergarten: Must be 4 years old by September 1st.
- Kindergarten: Must be 5 years old by September 1st.
- First Grade: Must be 6 years old by September 1st.

Report Cards & Test Scores: Parents must submit 2 years of report cards and 2 years of standardized test scores (if applicable) for admission.

Registration Forms & Fees: All forms and fees must be completed, signed, and submitted at registration. These forms need to be on file in the school office before admission is final. Registration fees are non-refundable.

Immunization Records: Immunization records must be up-to-date and meet California State Laws. Students without complete records will not be allowed to enter school.

Physical Exam: A physical examination report is required for all incoming preschool and first-grade students. All preschool immunizations and physician reports must be submitted before the first day of school. No exceptions.

Parent Commitment: Parents are expected to contribute to the school through service (time, talent, and financial support).

School Support: Parents must actively support the school’s spiritual, academic, and financial standards.

Probationary Period: All students are placed on academic and behavior probation during their first year of attendance.
